This is a small-time operation that just outsources their windows, which is to be expected, but they DO NOT keep up with their supplier. I was doing a home remodel and had a month window when I needed to get windows in and would have somebody on site for them to be installed. Aladdin's promised 2-3 weeks. At the 2 week mark, I called for a status update and was told that all was in order and the windows would be in either that week or early the next. At the 24-day mark, I called again, only to be told that something went wrong somewhere and their supplier never got the order and they had misled me about the status update from the week prior. The only option -- reorder, wait three more weeks and hope. Not much of an apology, no compensation in terms of discounts or even expediting the order. Needless to say, three weeks later is way too late and I am now scrambling to find another supplier.
The window, now installed, is a nice window. However, their service was terrible. The were never on time, left my yard a mess, killed my grass, and the installer was kind of shady (showed up at unexpected hours, didn't always use a company truck, arrived an hour early and just sat on my porch and never even thought of calling someone). When it was installed they put the trim in wrong and I had them come out to re-install it... which took all afternoon.
I have used this glass company for years. The service is always excellent. I would recommend them to anyone for residential or commercial installations. I've also had windshields replaced by Aladdin Glass and their picture frame matting work always turns out beautiful.
I needed a window replaced in my bathroom. We had already gutted the room down to the studs so all they had to do was pull off the trim and pull out the window.... and they did that... for $600. They also charged me a $100 "lead paint fee" when we had already stripped all the paint off the window and cleaned it. What was the service? Putting the window in a plastic bag. Definitely worth $100.
They can fix anything, good pricing, too!
All in all, I have a window. A very overpriced window, but a window. They're also the only real glass company in town... so that sucks. If I could do it again, I would've used a local contractor or had Home Depot install a window.
Aladdin glass does all the framing work for the Silver Rails Gallery, Event Center and our Photography Studio. Beth provides good work and friendly service. Would recommend to anyone....
